In 2007, Titi decided to put her fashion designing skills to good use by starting her own label.

Titi is the designers nickname,
/The german kid is her inspiration, her muse. Well, actually, it
wasn’t a traditional label from
the start on, but you wouldn’t
call her a traditional girl either.
She started out drawing
her unique designs on other people’s tops and bags, pimping as nowadays’ kids call it.

The real success story starts at
the end of the same year, when her friends organised their first Banggang. That’s a combination of bringing together various young designers that want to promote
their stuff and a party, which
since has been repeated at several parties by Infected Music and Breakdown. Soon the first real T+TGK SHIRTS were printed and online sales began. Around that time, the label got its very own Myspace-page, were the number of friends is growing as we speak. Okay, while you read this, since no-one’s speaking at the moment.

Because Titi is a REAL designer she also designed and made clothes by herself. This collection of original pieces is called: THE REAL STUFF. She satisfies men with hoodies. Women fall in love with dresses, capes, hoodies, shorts, skirts, sweaters, jackets and all accessoires.

Photographer Thierry Van Dort first noticed T+TGK in June 2008 and introduced her to Mieke, a shop in Ghent where the off-line sales outside of Banggang started. Thierry also did the first real photo shoot of the T+TGK collection, which by then included dresses, hoodies and even capes!

The following winter was fucking cold, so TITI hand knitted us scarves and matching accessory ice creams (THE FRISCO'S). Next George the Frisco was born, he’ll go on vacation with you but you’ll have to take pics! Handknitting was fun so LES ANIMAUX came out. In the first months of 2009, things started going fast. Two more shops started selling T+TGK. Paplou in Hasselt was followed by Vezjun in Amsterdam, after TITI’s successful passage at the Amsterdam Fashion Week.

Now TITI’s starting to think BIG, she’s thinking about working together with well known brands and getting more shops to sell her gear. So keep an eye out for her, you’re bound to run into her and people wearing her designs!
