In 2007, Titi decided to put her fashion designing skills
to good use by starting her own label.

Titi is the designers' nickname, ‘The German Kid’ is her inspiration, her muse. Titi + The German Kid isn't a tradition label and never has been. Titi started her creative career in 2007 with drawing her unique designs onto other people’s tops and bags. 'Pimping' as kids nowadays call it. When, at the end of the same year, Titi was so overwhelmed with orders for her unique drawings, the label 'Titi + The German Kid' first saw daylight ...

Soon the first shirts were printed and online sales began. Because Titi is a REAL designer she also started to design and make other collection pieces such as tops, jackets, dresses, ... .When photographer Thierry Van Dort first noticed T+TGK in june 2008, he introduced her to Mieke, a shop in Ghent which became T+TGK's first off-line point of sales. Thierry alsodid the photo shoot for the first T+TGK collection. In the first months of 2009, things started to go really fast. T+TGK was being sold in two more shops: Vezjun in Amsterdam started selling T+TGK after Titi’s succesful passage at the Amsterdam Fashion Week, followed by Paplou in Hasselt. In 2010 Titi thought even BIGGER, she worked together with the wellknown brand JBC for which she designed two cool collections and the number of shops to sell her gear increased significantly. Titi opened her first pop-up store to celebrate her 3rd anniversary in hometown Hasselt.

In 2011 her collections started to grow. After her ‘S/S 2011’ - Sprinkle/Sparkle’ and ‘F/W 2011 - I ain’t afraid of no clown’ collection she made her statement. In November of that same year she designed a crazy Tee-collection for streetlabel ‘Teeville’, think dino’s, unicorns and neon kittens. In 2012 she launched a succesful S/S campaign in the typical TITI-theme ‘HAPPY SOUP’, about how kids can’t wait to grow up and adults don’t want to grow old. In september she released her biggest collection so far: 'The day destroys the night', shortfilm included. In December of that same year she designed custom made tees and hoodies for the staff and crew of Muziekodroom, Hasselt.

Today TITI+THE GERMAN KID is working on the S/S 2013 collection and her first public showroom & studio, which will open in january.

KEEP BUYING HER FUCKING NICE STUFF!
